Hi my darling, thank you for your prayers, positive healing thoughts & your love. You are truly amazing wonderful friends. Ross came through so well, & without any pain. They gave him a spinal block not wanting to give a general anaesthetic because of his heart & lung probs. The hospital is incredible, they always give the very best care. He can’t move much for 3wks until the flap (graft) adheres to his leg. We are grateful to so many. Cont’d

4 years agoCont. There’s a cute little chapel at the hospital and I’ve worn a track 😆. How fortunate we are, thank you all so much. The reason I worry so much is because 6yrs ago Ross was very ill and rushed to hosp, he spent 14mths going from ICU to High Dependency. He eventually had a laryngectomy so now can only speak with an electronic device. He also have a feeding tube going into his upper bowel because he can’t swallow.

4 years agoCont. They didn’t expect him to survive but with prayers from many he did & the hosp medical team consider him bulletproof 😆. He never complained, he expected to survive & now our new normal allows us to have a wonderful life. It’s still far from easy for him with only 30% lung capacity but we make a pretty good team.

4 years agoI’m so happy to hear Ross came through the surgery! He sounds like a fighter. It’s so obvious how much you love and care for him. Sounds like he’s been through so much, but he has your love to pull him through. It’s not easy being a caregiver, but I can tell you give him the strength & love he needs.
