4 years agothe 20th so next Tuesday will be 4 yrs since my brother my only sibling died in my arms from his at least 3rd heroin overdose. so I appreciate you posting this for the needed awareness and education on this epidemic

4 years agoFirst off, I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for bringing light to this subject. I’m a recovering addict (14 yrs clean) and I’ve been taking training to become a Peer Recovery Coach. We MUST shine light on this & get ride of the stigma! Everyone knows someone who has an substance abuse disorder. I’m so tired of people looking down on addicts, it’s been proven over & over it’s a disease. We need to help these people, not shun them. I’ll say a prayer for you & your family.

4 years agoSo sad but true my sister lost two sons six months apart quite a few years ago after that she only had her daughter left and now her daughter is in a home trying to get clean my sister was a great mom but it still happened this was back in Scotland so I know a bit how you feel
