4 years ago@photobert That little run in with a snake was so long ago I rarely think of it anymore. More frightening is how often I run snakes out of my backyard, I have even seen them crawling up the side of my house! I live in central Texas south of Austin, and snakes and bugs and crap are just a part of life here. Scorpions really make mad, lol!!! I found one wound up in a towel I had already dried half my body off with, lol! Every scorpion sting I’ve gotten hurt way worse than that snake bite!!!

4 years agoOMG snakes in your backyard, scorpions in your towel! I am in shock! I always wanted to live in the warm south but I just don’t think I can handle those creatures. I don’t like so much snow, but that may be better than scorpion stings. Yikes, how many times were you stung? Are they poisonous? 😱🏜🌵🐍 🦂

4 years ago@photobert Lol, photo-b!!!! Have you been thinkin’ bout this stuff all day? LOL So, I’ve only been stung 3 or 4 times in my life. I have only seen 1 or 2 outside but countless in the house. And my house is fairly new, large, never messy but they are here regardless. My dog usually finds them before I do. The other night I was putting some jewelry away and I was standing on (and killing) one under my shoe that I never saw on the vinyl flooring I have. They aren’t big here..maybe 2 inches....

4 years ago@photobert .......2 inches long at most, not counting their tail with the stinger. And we have tiny little black ones, never stung by one of those. But they do hurt and for a long time. I suppose some might have threatening allergies to them but most do not. They cause some good swelling and are sore a couple of days. Get this: my mother in law got stung in a private area when one was wrapped up in some toilet paper! Now that makes me SCREAM... Stuff of my nightmares right there!
