My first rant. Here we go. I think I'm going to leave my main account bc my dad is now on recolor, and my parents are going to install covenant eyes on my phone. wow. just wow. My parents have been divorced for a while and so I have adjusted to all the changes in my life since. I was depressed for a really long time, but I'm beginning to accept my life and so I'm doing better. so my mom emailed my dad saying that she thought I was emotionally unstable. haha... she didn't say a word abt my other two siblings.(I'm sure she read my diary. there's goes the trust you wanted mom, thanks alot.) ok you guys have to understand. My mom is as Christian as they come. she makes my sister and I wear skirts and dresses when we're at her house. she doesn't let us listen to music, watch movies, or have any social media. yikes right? well when we're with my dad, we're just normal teenagers, wearing shorts, listening to music, and doing things on our phone that my mom would consider "evil" She doesn't know that we do any of this or else she would probably disown me and then kill me. :) so... I googled what covenant eyes does and it is literally a "set yourself free from ****" thing. I DON'T LOOK AT PORNOGRAPHY. My dad trusts me but agrees with my mom that maybe our phones should be monitored. My mom. not so much. she won't even trust me and my siblings to stay home by ourselves bc we're going to watch "defiling" youtube videos. I literally watch bts funny moments

and music videos. yeah I'm a very boring person. Covenant eyes takes periodic screenshots of what you're looking at and emails it to your "allies" as their website put it. how encouraging. thanks alot. I'm not worried abt my dad at all. I don't care if he gets the stupid screenshots I have nothing to hide from him. ha but my mom. I would have to sit through a 5 hour screaming session and then have my phone taken away from me forever. poof. until I'm an adult. guys. I. am. 14. actually just. turned. fourteen. I. won't. be. 18. for. four. years. that is four years without my phone. FOUR YEARS!!!! they haven't installed it yet so I have a couple days of freedom. any advice??? sry for the rant if you took time to read it, good for you 😭😭😭 I'm so dead. I'm dead. I need my phone. Ouch that sucks 😕 My mom has this app on her phone to know when I'm on my phone.. I wish parents knew that sometimes their are things we dont want them to see, but that doesnt mean it's a bad thing. My advice is just respect your mom You're at an age where u feel your parents are just attacking you because your getting older and there setting more rules and expecting more from you.. I actually have very calm parents who completely trust me with my phone. They give me privacy and think of me as the most mature person ever. But, I would say talk to your mom. You’re 14 and deserve your space! I get that she’s protective of you, but she’s gonna have to learn that you’re not 5 y/o anymore. You’re not going to play games for five year olds on your phone anymore as well. I say talk to her about you’re personal space and that you’re not a kid anymore.

If she says no, that’s her loss that she’s not letting you make amazing friends on Recolor. She should trust you completely with a phone.

I understand. I understand everything you said ,but idk if I can help because I never experienced anything like that before, so idk what to say but I’ll try... my advise is just act normal in front of your mother and follow whatever she says ,if only YOU ,yourself want to do what she says. Try to talk to your mom and tell her I need freedom , or try to cry in front of her (if she has feelings lol) ,she might understand and trust you a lil .right?-
