Um.. Im not so good at giving tips + im not so good at colouring but, lemme try-
-When you colour the skin, first start with light colours
-use hard brush only for the base colour and then go to the darker shades for doing the shading?.. use airbrush for them.

- (Just recommending) for the base.. go to orange solids and mix the last one in the first row with the third one in the skintones, then for the shading just mix some more reddish and brown tones.
-Never use white for the eyes and teeth, cuz after after applying filter it does'nt rly look realistic.. mix a lil yellow or smtg.
-Use airbrush for the hair and then use a lighter shade to highlight some strands.. it looks good!
-When you choose to do a solid background..chose a viberant colour which makes the picture pop!.
