The mood swings you mention, really sound more like depression than anxiety. I have a dual diagnosis... the loss of interest is depression.
I was told I have bipolar type 2. It has to do with dopamine production. It takes forever to build up dopamine to a functioning level, but then my body burns through it at a rapid pace. I have learned to live with it and manage it. But like you, I have days where I simply detest

1 year agomyself, feel worthless and don't have the desire to do anything. But, it passes. And while it is happening, I try to remind myself that it is chemical and not personal. If I go out, even just to get some groceries, it helps. Usually they next day, I am better.
I take medication ... without it, I would be a mess.
