Awesome Shoebill Stork, Katrina! Fantastic coloring! In hunting, the Shoebill (Africa) stands motionless, waiting for a lungfish or baby crocodile to swim by. Then the bird pounces forward, all five feet of it, with its massive bill wide open, engulfing its target along with water, mud, vegetation, and any other hapless fish.
