1 year agoI see I missed the drama. Idk what was said or who said it. I've never seen anything that you've said or done that would warrant being criticized or talked about. As far as taking the high road, I think it's the thing to do under some circumstances. The opposite thing to do is react angrily.(That's the one I'm prone to.) You can also respectfully and candidly go to the person(s) and ask them Why'd you do that or tell them how you feel. I hate that this happened to you because you seem like

I've done that particular pic before but I've never been happy with the results until now. You definitely have to make the nose from the ground up. The eyes were harder because the outline around them was a different color than the skin around it & it was a pain to get right. I went to Google and put portrait of young woman looking straight at you and picked one similar to the template & went from there. As much talent as you have I know you can do it & make yours prettier

1 year ago@clavietje 🇧🇪✌🏽🌸 I really appreciate your thoughtful message and support. You have always been so sweet and kind. There’s times when I really get feed up, with my youngest sister for example. I love her and have and will always do anything for her but there’s times when she really pushes me.
The thing I dislike about the internet is people can say hurtful things and not realize that there’s an actual person on the other side who has feelings. Instead they can say whatever and not ⬇️

I just think it gets hard when people say hurtful things on the internet, they forget that there’s a person behind the screen. I had to come back home. I had enrolled at a painting class at the college. The teacher was kind enough to let me be there and miss the first week. I just continue to check in with my parents daily to get updates.

1 year agoI have no idea what happened but I can tell you that anyone who behaves badly by spreading rumors - being a bully or criticizing anyone’s art here is just nasty and wrong. People act that way to make themselves feel better or important.I’m sorry that you were targeted by someone in here. Sometimes I just don’t get people. I suppose you could say I take the high road mostly - but I’ll admit there are times when indifference doesn’t work and I feel like I need to say what I think. I’m not sure

1 year agoThat’s the “low” road- I think it’s more self preservation and standing up for yourself. I fight with myself over this type of decision - but here - on Recolor I would just ignore them - block them and move on. They are probably jealous and there’s not much you can do against the green monster. I find that smiling in their face works well for me. Your art is incredible and don’t let anyone make you feel bad for that.

1 year agoOh my goodness, Krys. Just let whoever and whatever go. In the grad scheme of things, just look at it as no more than annoyance. Worry about the things that really matter. I'm sure it hurt at the time, but most gossip comes from jealousy. Trolls will be trolls. I'm proud of you for taking the high road. We all know you are better than going to their level.
