This might be a stupid idea but I feel like lifeโs getting tougher and we all probably have something on our mind so feel free to have a bit or a rant here if thereโs something you want to get out about ANYTHING just do it here !! - mine is how stupid and sexiest men are I was in gym class and we where doing circuits and one of them was a push up and when he was explaining it he said boys you can do a proper push up and girls you can just do it on your knees ?? Like what itโs absolutely.......

3 years agoRidiculous and then when I went to actually do the push up I did it properly and he came round and told me to tuck my knees in because I could hurt myself !!! AND when a boy in my class did it how the โgirlsโ should do it my teacher told him to stop acting like a girl and man up !!! Itโs just so frustrating being a girl and constantly being put down because we โcanโt do anythingโ Iโm so sick of it and it makes me so angry

I play a lot of hockey and I used to go to this one camp where I was the only girl and the coaches didnโt know what to do with me so they literally just told me I could do whatever I wanted. I didnโt learn anything so I donโt go there anymore ๐. One year my coach just made me sit on the bench during practice so I walked out of practice and here I am on a girls team that is 100x better!

3 years agoYesss you go girl!!! we shouldnโt be pushed aside because we ere not โmanlyโ enough and canโt play sports together like ffs footballers (soccer players) act like theyโve just been shot when someone on the other team โattacksโ them itโs ridiculous AND Iโm still out here waiting for mixed sex sports !! 3 years agoI understand very well what you go through. On the flip side, the coach hasnโt a clue that he is causing you turmoil that can last a long time to come. I am 71 worked 18 years in a nuclear plant (manโs world). I went from a records clerk to Engineering Manager, 11 years of college at night. 3 years agoRight decision hiring me for each of the positions as I was advancing. My advice in overcoming those very real issues is to be the best you possible. Outshine those that do it to you. Please donโt let their action define who you are. SHOW them you are right and show them you are strong in mind and body. You are NOT what they perceive you. 3 years agoIn her thinking. She was indeed a lady, but she showed her worth every day. She upholstered antique furniture better than the original. She wallpapered, she dug gardens and compost piles. She could do anything and DID. Confidence was her strong suit. I learned that lesson from her. I find that quiet confidence, not protests work so well for me.

3 years agoAlso, my mother went from being a secretary at Good Year tire and Rubber in NY City to being the office supervisor. In 4 years. She stayed after work most nights, always got her work done ahead of time. They were impressed with her work and yes she was โjustโ a secretary. But then she kept all the copies of letters from her work. She studied. Looked up the invoices, contacts. Then she went through her bosses trash at night and learned what his job was. 3 years agoPregnancy leave. She asked her boss if she could fill in for those months. He didnโt want her to as she was inexperienced. She proved she was. Boss put her on the job for a one week trial. She passed and continued over the next several months. And when the office manager job opened up. Goodyear gave her the job. She had a 2 year degree in 1946, unheard of for a woman. So you see, men have controlled a large part of business. But now women are thriving, still fighting their battlesโค๏ธ

3 years ago@๐Molly๐ yas!! Mixed sports all the way!!! Itโs the most annoying yhing that girls hockey teams still arenโt allowed to check! I hate it so much! And lol ๐ soccer/football players (no offense) really go over the top there is a running joke with my team because I broke my foot during a game and kept playing and there are grown men throwing themselves onto the ground (once again I know not all soccer/football players do this)

3 years agoI love that your mother sound like she was wonderful and strong woman and she didnโt take no for an answer I admire that about her so much she mustโve been such an amazing mum to have growing up and teaching you to be strong and independent!! I hate that there is only jobs made for men and woman like yourself working in the nuclear plant and being told itโs a man job mustโve been hard.
