2 years ago@HollyDE 🌼🍃 Well you want me to think? lol. That stuff I am clueless about but will remember as soon as you remind me. I was just thinking how do you keep an eclair for over a week? You can't really freeze them, not the real kind.
Oh, I love so many episodes, but, I think my faves are when Rose needs a new job and Blanche is as jumpy as a "virgin at a prison rodeo." But, after that episode, Rose still works at the grief center for a few more seasons ... huh?

"The Flu" is a favorite. Then, "The Triangle." When Dorthy's doctor bf makes a pass at Blanche. And in my top 3 is "Girls Just Want to have Fun." When Dorothy asks Sophia if she slept with the guy and Sophia says "a little." cracks me up every time.
I am detail driven so I notice all the inconsistencies ... there are tons.
I was going there ... not actual trivia. But now you have me thinking ...

Blanche is rich enough to have a cook in the 1st episode, a governess when her kids were little, says she's lucky she never had to worry about $, but can't afford to get the roof fixed & doesnt have enough for a down payment on a car so she tries to sell her piece of junk to Rose. She talks about college but in another episode says she was lucky to get married & not have to study. Her middle name is 1st Marie & then Elizabeth. And how about her renters having to help fix

2 years agobroken toilets & pipes & helping pay for a new roof & driveway. Sophia always weighed 96 lbs(?) then later lost 300 lbs. Dorothy went to college to be a teacher, later she's just a substitute. Rose studied daily for hours in both the Tuba & to be an Ice Skating champion, not to mention trying out for butter queen & small curd beauty queen. And she's an orphan during the later episodes.

2 years agoBlanche being selfish and they have a clip of Blanche hounding Dorothy to go on a double date with her even though she has the flu, there's a part where Dorothy says "Blaaaaaanccchhee" exactly the way Baby Jane did in the movie. Check it out the next time you see the episode & you'll see what I mean. And I love the episode where Dorothy dates the short bald guy & falls in lust, the Valentines Day episode & when she saw the guy who didn't show up to take her to the Sr prom. And when her ex

2 years ago@HollyDE 🌼🍃 Literary Professor at a University as a protected witness. This huge house has no dining room and the furniture stayed the same the entire series. When they are all in Sophia's bed, Blanche mentions it's a Saturday night, then Dorothy says she has to go to work in the morning. And same episode, they're in Miami and yet they are freezing because the heat is off. Oh and the diner owner who walks off and lets them take over after knowing them for 4 minutes.

2 years agoYeah the freezing in Miami bugs me. I'm way farther up and might turn the heater on once. Also they're all wearing long sleeved shirts. Dorothy's daughter changes looks drastically too. Not to mention her sister. How about Miles is Arnie in the 1st season, disappears till the 5th season & are introduced for the first time. And why would Phil be buried in Miami? How was Sophia & her sister estranged for decades & Dorothy has no idea. On a different note, although I love almost all of the

2 years agoepisodes, it really bothered me with how cruel they were to Dorothy about her looks. When Blanches daughter showed up overweight they were cruel but offended when her b.f. was. And in the last season it was especially bad. Blanche was turned into a caricature of herself, Sofia cruel and both were stripped of redeeming qualities. I've wondered if one of their writers was a woman hater. I read that Bea Arthur decided to retire from the show in part because of the cruelty towards Dorothy & I
