So very scary- even more than the childhood nightmareπππππππ Mine were of huge waves coming at me to overwhelm me- I still get the waves but they never overwhelm me and arenβt scary nowπ

I think you should move ...
I would never live in those states for the same fear ... it would terrify me to encounter that. Have you ever had a face to face with an alligator?
Love youπ

@Auntie R I have a plethora of childhood nightmares burned into my brain. But thankfully they're not as intense and terrifying as they used to be. I did have a strange one here awhile back that I can't figure. Two bull π were fighting, trumpeting loudly (and scarily) while coming down from the inside of a tornado πͺ cloud! Too much stress & sugar before bed, I suppose π .

@TracyNWOregonπ² If I moved there'd be something else to take it's place no matter where I went, I'm sure!
I've seen alligators, but no scary face to face encounters thank goodness. If you go to the river at night with a spotlight you'll see red eyes everywhere, though, and you'll hear them sliding off the banks into the water. I saw one in a canal here in town awhile back. He was about four feet long & had a weary look on his face that was kind of funny. My grandfather used to catch big

@TracyNWOregonπ² bulls for a guy with a road side alligator farm in the 50s & 60s & I remember seeing pictures of my father on the back of one who had his mouth taped shut. Idk why (other than they're terrifying in general, and I grew up close to the river) I always had such nightmares about them. The water looks black because of the tannins in the leaves that fall in, that probably didn't help.
I worked with a man who collects arrowheads & he was walking on (in) the river with his scuba

@TracyNWOregonπ² gear on and came face to face with a big one, who turned around and hauled a$$ and pooped on itself in the process. My friend said he almost had the same reaction. He got out and went home but just did manage to hold onto his bowels. So, I'm allagatored out for today. ππ
