2 years agoHi my friend ! Usually a lay Buddhist is to observe 5 precepts.
1. Not kill
2. Not steal
3. Proper sexual conduct
4. Not lie
5. Refrain from alcohol
Apart from this, on fullmoon days, people observe 8 or 10 precepts at Buddhist temples.
My 8 are -
Not kill, not steal, abstinence from sexual activitiy, not lie, not speak harsh words, not carry tales, not indulge in idle gossip and not indulge in improper practises to live.
