@🍪1-800-COOK!ES🍪 there are a lot of words but i can try to explain some basic terms. build - the unique statistics (attack, health, defense, damage output) of your character, and artifacts and weapon they use artifacts - ancient, special objects you obtain to enhance your characters’ statistics. for example, a feather artifact would increase your character’s attack, a flower artifact would increase your health (aka HP) pull/wish - kinda hard to explain but it’s a gacha term for trying (limit)

to get the character/weapon you want using special in-game crystals called primogems. primogems - what genshin players obtain as a reward for completing quests and such. they are collected and used to get a character/weapon, typically ones that are limited event because they are only available for about 20 days. crit - short for critical. each character has a certain amount of crit rate and crit damage. they both help in maximizing the amount of damage your character can do to an enemy.

NAH CUZ YOU BASICALLY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING 😭 ok so for characters and weapons theres 5-stars and 4-stars theres also standard 5 stars so when you pull/wish you have a chance at getting a 4 star or a 5 star standard from a banner every 10 wishes you are guaranteed a four star or higher banners - theres standard and event standard - never changes, you always have a chance to obtain the same characters

OH THERES ALSO DIFFERENT “elements” as was the word used earlier these are called visions in the game and i believe there are seven each character has one taht was basically gifted by gods to people who are deemed worthy so here are the visions simplified cryo - ice pyro - fire dendro - like plants (?) geo - rocks and earth hydro - water anemo - air electro - electricity and lighting each of these has an archon (god) that rules in a certain area of tevat (basically like planet earth)

these areas are called nations and so far we can only explore/know the lore of three mondstadt - anemo nation with archon named venti inazuma - electro nation with archon named raiden shogun liyue - geo nation with archon named zhongli OK I THINK THIS IS IT SORRY FOR FLOODING SOPH

UH ALEX AND SOPH KINDA SORTA CARRIED pity: there’s a pity system within the game’s gacha, in which every 90 wishes a five star is guaranteed 50/50: when wishing on an event banner, there is a 50% chance (coin toss) that you will not get the event character and will get a standard banner character (jean, diluc, qiqi, mona, or keqing). this ultimately resets your pity and makes it nearly impossible to get the character in such a short amount of time (sad) guaranteed: after you lose (limit)

the 50/50, you essentially are “guaranteed” that your next five star character on the event banner will be the featured one. for example, if you were pulling for hu tao (event character) and you got jean (standard character), you would be guaranteed a hu tao in another 90 pulls, but it would be pretty difficult. many players just save for another event banner to make sure they get characters they want f2p: stands for “free to play”. a common gacha term for games (i’ve seen it used for sekai)
