Boys Life by Robert McCammon has the most beautiful chapter about a dog that became a ghost - I lost my Lab - she died in my bedroom door while I was at school and my friends helped bury her in my backyard where Saint Frances looks over her. So glad to see you back under any circumstances my friend.
