Ladybug swung down onto the Eiffel Tower, along with her two partners. "Oh...my...God." She put her hands over her face. "I just revealed my secret identity to an entire class! What if a villain comes back, or Hawkmoth rises again, or I get tons of hate from people who are disappointed it's only me under the mask?" Chat looked helplessly at Rena, who sighed. "She does this a lot. It's the Marinette in her." She turned to face Ladybug. "Calm down, girl! You said you already put Gabriel in the slammer, and without his powers, he can't akumatize anyone else. You're out of danger, Marinette. I don't think you fully realize that yet."she said reassuringly. "And even if he does come back, then you have all of us to back you up and protect you." Chat added, putting his hands in her shoulders. "As for the disappointment, I can't see why anyone would be upset. Selfless? Check. Smart? Check. Brave? Check. Confident? Check. Beautiful? Check." he said, counting on his fingers. "Um, what are you describing?" Ladybug asked. "I'm describing Marinette. And Ladybug. Paris loves you for a reason, and it's not because of the outfit. You're a symbol of love and hope for those who have none, and with or without the mask, you're an amazing girl." Ladybug felt a blush creep up her cheeks as she shoved Chat's hands off her shoulders. "That's enough smooth talk for today, kitty cat." she chuckled. "At least he didn't call you a 'friend' again." Rena teased, looking at the two of them. Chat facepalmed. "You're never going to let me off the hook, are you." "Nope!" the girls said in unison. "Well, now what?" Ladybug asked. Paris was back to normal, now that Hawkmoth had been defeated. Then a sudden thought struck her. "Chat? Rena?" she asked quietly. "Does this mean we have to give up our Miraculous, now that there's no threat?" The three of them stopped, realizing the situation. Their kwamis were like family to them, especially Tikki and Plagg. And, well, having powers and costumes was awesome, but what would happen if they had to give them back up to the Guardian? Rena spoke first. "I don't know, Ladybug." she said. "But do you want to go ask Master Fu? After all, he's the one who gave them to us." "And I also need to return the moth Miraculous to him before it gets into the wrong hands." Chat said, reaching into his pocket and clasping the brooch. "When did you get that?" Ladybug asked, confused. "Um...when I was taking on Hawkmoth, I kinda...got really pissed and knocked him out, then I swiped his Miraculous while he was unconscious." Chat explained quickly. He was still embarrassed of his father's actions, and hated having to use violence against him, but his feelings for Ladybug had consumed his mind at that moment. "Off to Master Fu's, I guess." Rena said, standing on the support beams. "First to get there gets a box of macaroons!" Ladybug yelled, undoing her yoyo as she dove off the edge. "No head starts, milady!" Chat yelled back as he followed her down. Just like old times, he thought. During patrols when crime was slow, Ladybug and Chat would bet on random things: Who could hang upside down for the longest (Ladybug), who could climb the Eiffel Tower the fastest (Chat), 'The Floor Is Lava' mega edition (it was still a tie between the two)...Then Rena Rouge came along, and the bets had evolved into crazy Truth or Dare games. Surprisingly, Rena beat both heroes to the Guardian's house. As Ladybug and Chat landed next to her, she said, "And not the little macaroons, Marinette. The ones you make with all of the filling and soft cookies." "Don't get picky, Rena. I have to have time to make the desserts for the gala on Sunday as well." Chat froze. "What? I didn't ask you to-" "Gabriel did. He heard our bakery was the best in Paris, and I agreed. It was a good business offer." Ladybug explained. "Are you sure you can do that alone?" he asked, concerned. "Of course." "Hey, are you two lovebirds gonna come over here or what?" Rena said loudly.
