3 years agoSo my aunt had Cystic Fibrosis, and itβs a genetic disease. The simplest way to say it is she has a hole In her lung, so she couldnβt breathe without a machine. Despite that she lived to 50, had three kids, and lived her best life. She spent time with us, she went to Disney, she did amazing raising her kids- when she was 50, 4 years ago, in October, she went into the hospital. They finally got a new lung she could use and were ready for an emergency transplant, after being on the list (1/2)

3 years agoFor years and years. But her physical condition got worse, and they knew she wouldnβt survive the transplant that she had waited so long for. It wouldβve changed her life. So we had to say goodbye and they turned off her oxygen machine that she always had to have. And that was the end. π. And she came so close. And they had planned a cruise for when she had her new lung, and we all went in memory of her but it was sad. And Iβm sobbing right now- and thatβs it πππ€. So yeah.
