Beautiful birds hosted by Susan Bird โค๏ธR ๐บ๐ธ. The rose-breasted grosbeak, colloquially called "cut-throat" due to its coloration, is a large, seed-eating grosbeak in the cardinal family. (This picture was taken by a local wildlife photographer. I love how she captured this wonderful bird looking directly into the camera . I'm ready for my closeup now. )

What a gorgeous rose-breasted grosbeak, Karen! Fabulous pose, fabulous coloring! We are privileged to see these beautiful visitors twice a year! Bursting with black, white, and rose-red, male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks are like an exclamation mark at your bird feeder or in your binoculars. Look for these birds in forest edges and woodlands. Thank you for sharing this wonderful bird and for joining the Beautiful Bird Challenge.
