Well hello 👋 B... I haven’t seen you in ages! I hope you and your hubby are doing well.. The last I heard your husband had to have an emergency surgery. I hope he’s recovering well from it! Well 😆 if I would have read your comment above I would have found out! Dah 🙄 Well I’m glad he is recovering! We are snowed in with 8” or more and Tennessee does not have the equipment for this! 🤖 Were lucky if we get an inch of this nasty stuff.. I’m not a snow person. I’m originally from ILLinois and they 👇

I hope you have been in good health and taking care of yourself too! ❤️ Your coloring is absolutely phenomenal.. 3 years ago@Carrie 🐈🌸🐾📚💜 Carrie!!!!!!! *big grin* Thank you so much for giving me a thought during my absence! Yes, many are not okay down here but we have really done well through it all. I am still “snowed in” we’ve had 10” of snow, 3 of it just today. My temps have been hovering around 28 so I can’t get up the hill which is my actual driveway. It’s been a thrill ride for sure. Tomorrow though we go from frigid to a mild 43+ degrees..woo hoo!!! Thank you for such kindness!! 💕💕💕

Someday when the dust settles here from surgeries, 100 year storms, global pandemic, I’ll HAVE to purchase one or more of your books! I love a good story and legend. We do have much of that here, it’s true. I’m considering importing some pics of the ranch. We have the original post office in Comal County still standing up at my brother in law’s house, original log cabin and.....

3 years ago@gram gram ...and I’m thinking I might import a pic of it for my friends here. Perhaps I’ll do a series...or at least give it a thought to! Lol And yes, it’s amazing that Grandfather Sattler’s family have retained ownership since about the time of the Civil War. I could not love the history more. We have many many fascinating stories regarding it, from Native Americans camping here (i find arrowheads every summer) to a hanging tree next to the old original log cabin post office in our county.

3 years agoWow!!! Sounds amazing. I am doing a couple fixes in my book. Seems like there’s always something minor I want to fix. A quotation mark where it doesn’t belong or a comma instead of a period.. I am going to try to have the fixes done in a couple days.. 🤗

3 years ago@gram gram We are still in possession of Grandpa Sattler’s postal log as he was the first postmaster here as well and a co-founder of New Braunfels, TX. We have many German communities in Central Texas. I’m honored to have married into such a family. :)))

3 years agoMy story goes back to the gold rush days and homesteading in South Dakota. But I do need to make a couple fixes. It took me forever to get my author copy. I like to have it on paper to finalize it. I really go through it with a fine tooth comb on the computer, but there’s just something about having it on paper...I guess it’s the “old” teacher in me!

And gosh, RC has changed since I was here in Dec! I can’t even find this posted pic anywhere but my own gallery! What am I missing, Trace? Anywaaaay, yes, weather here has slightly sucked for the last week. Having said that, all is pretty great here. Others on the ranch have some burst pipes but we have fared well in regard to the storm. And....

At his first follow up appt the doctor commented on the incredibly fast healing of his surgical scar which is roughly a foot long. I must say, I laughed out loud at your comment regarding the rosacea bump! NOT that I think rosacea is funny, mind you! *blush* And yes, the corner has been turned I do believe. I couldn’t be happier, in spite of Covid! I’ve missed my buddies here greatly!!! Love you muchly back!!!!!!!💕💕♥️💕💕♥️💕💕

It’s what “drew” me to him initially, no pun intended, lol. He has always been great with a pencil, can draw anything. When we moved to the ranch here he began working as a designer for a German themed waterpark in New Braunfels. Since that time, 35 yrs ago....

3 years ago@Dee Van ....he has traveled the world sculpting concrete features in those types of parks and other places, such as the Honey bee exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute. He has also sent a pirate ship to Tawain, built a waterfall at the park inside West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada. We’ve been to Germany for 3 months, Paris for two weeks, and he (without me, darn it) to Hawaii, and Rio de Janeiro. Quite the guy, multi talented and a great guitar player as well. He can’t wait to work again!
