The first thing to do when you are going to do on a template is have an idea-
You need an inspiration or idea.
You can obviously change it along the way but itโs best to have a vision of what you want to accomplish!

Something that really helps me and will most help people who are starting is getting a reference picture.
You can go on Google or whatever and search a picture of what/who you are going to color-
This helps to know where you need to shade, the color tones and if this specific thing has and details (dimple, wrinkle, eye color, etc)
itโll help know where it is.

Shading is one of the most important things in doing a template;
It brings life to it and makes it look real.
Even a little shading makes the template look a lot better.
Most of the time the shading is under the neck, behind the eyes, on the cheekbones and a tiny bit under the eyes although it depends on the angle and lighting...

When doing a template, colors are very important!
You can mix colors, combine them and even use the color theory to mix colors in harmony!
If you go to โColor Palletsโ you can make your own colors!!
There is a color wheel you can use and itโs really easy and useful!
