4 years ago@Oregon Gal 🍃🌺🍃 Thanks for your sweet comment. We are both well. Denmark have closed all borders, shopping centers are closed, restaurants, hairdressers, cafes, and many shops, too. Schools, universities, dentists are closed. Everything to avoid the virus is spreading. It’s not allowed to meet more than 10 people in a group, and you have to keep a safe distance, abour 2-4 meters. Many people have got the virus on holidays on skiing in Italy, and brought it to Denmark. Many are hospitalized.

4 years ago@Lionfish Jo, tak. Alt er fint hos os. Dagligdagen er meget forandret på grund af Corona situationen. Meget er lukket, indkøbscentre, skoler, børnehaver, restauranter, caféer, frisører, tandlæger, og alle er meget opmærksomme på at holde afstand og omgås så få folk som muligt. Vi isolerer os lidt, da jeg stadig regnes som hjertepatient og som særlig sårbar, da jeg blev opereret i hjertet i sommer. Vi håber det bedste. Hvordan ser det ud oppe hos dig, - er der mange syge ? Gode ønsker fra 🇩🇰

4 years agoJo, det meste er stengt her også. Vi jobber hjemmefra og skolene er stengt. Det blir litt mange folk på lite plass her hjemme, og litt kjedelig, men vi er flinke til å finne på ting å gjøre. Jeg er heldigvis frisk, men mannen min har diabetes og regnes også som sårbar, så vi er veldig forsiktige. Men, det går bra - så langt har vi tilpasset oss godt!!😊🤗🤗🤗 Ta godt vare på deg selv og hold håpet oppe!!❤️❤️❤️ Det vil jo gå over en gang!!🤗😘🦁🐠

4 years agoI read about the holiday skiers bring it back to Denmark. It is sad when the party goers don’t think about others. The barkeeper had it. I found a couple of old cards with my mother’s handwriting in Czech. English right above the words. Being a young country most of us know nothing about past pandemics, including me. 1917 shocked me. I wish our government was prepared and on top of it. No excuses except leader. Most adapted quickly. Kids too. I am impressed. Lack of supplies. My family is safe.

4 years ago@Oregon Gal 🍃🌺🍃 Yes, you’re right. Many young Danes were skiing in Austria and Italy and brought virus back to Denmark. Our borders are closed now for private, but open for trucks with food, fruit and other supplies, so we still have food and toiletries in the supermarkets. There is lack of things for doing the corona tests, so just now, they test very few people. Soon there will be lack of respirators in hospitals. Don’t know, where and when it will end. My family is well and safe.Take Care ❤️

4 years ago@Else Marie Damm 🇩🇰They test only a few unless they are a vip. Upsetting that our country didn’t have masks, gowns,respirators. Every 10 years there is flu from China. Our state has 500 breathing machines unused. The media got governor to reveal real supplies. Few masks, gowns. Luckily my daughter in law is not called in because of her specialty and cough. They say 18 mons. Sept lift stay home ban. School plans on line classes next wk. good. Kona was locked out last night.OopsHusky. Loved it😁🌹🌹

4 years agoHere in Denmark schools, high schools and universities are closed down for about 2-3 weeks and there is on line education. Our youngest granddaughter is in first year high school, living in a college, because she is playing hand ball 🏀 in a high level, two hours drive from her home. Now they are sent home and sitting with pc from 8 am to 3 pm. She is so tired of it, and NO handball training at all. The fitness centers are closed, too, so she can run in the evening, as there are not so many out.

4 years ago@Else Marie Damm 🇩🇰 I got your original comment about Danes skiing. How old is your granddaughter? Hall ball has to be hard. Ouch! I don’t know if it is a school sport here. I hope it is safe to run at night. We would worry about creepy guys. My “oldest” granddaughter is 12. Middle school here. Basketball. sitting at home is probably driving lots of students and us nuts. But she decided to reread a lot of her books. The family works in their yard and garden. I clean out boxes. Scan old photos.🌷🌷

4 years ago@Oregon Gal 🍃🌺🍃 I have two granddaughters, Nanna 18 years old, it’s her, who plays hand ball, she is the goalkeeper, and very good at it. Mettle is the oldest, she will be 21 in July. She is studying to be a nurse, will be finished February next year. She was going to New Zealand for a 2 month study stay in Auckland here in April. It’s canceled because of the Coronavirus. She is so disappointed. She had rented a place to stay by Airbnb, but got all her money back. But not the money for visa.

4 years ago@Oregon Gal 🍃🌺🍃 When Nanna runs in the evening/night, she has their dog with her. And the town where they live is not very big, so maybe not so many creepy guys ? Sometimes her big sis runs with her.
