Olivia sat in her gray chair, typing out a long message to her friend Bailey about how because sexism was a big problem, that meant it was more important than waffles. Bailey loved waffles. Olivia preferred pancakes. She threw her phone aside and walked over to her closet. She pulled out the black robe with white accents and smiled. She put it on, smoothed out the wrinkles, and commenced putting her hair into a bun and pulling out the oversized glasses she had bought for Halloween three(limit

Years ago. The only reasons she was going to the party so that she could dress up like Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Ruth was her idol. She picked up her pen and briefcase(Purchased in the fourth grade in order to carry all of her school supplies) and nodded at her reflection. She knew she was not pretty, at least not by the high school kids’ standards. Still, what was looks when compared to smarts, integrity, justice, and knowledge? She almost smiled.

Now that sounded like a Ruth bader Ginsberg thing to say. She glanced over at a picture that had fallen on her dresser. She walked over, picked it up, and realized she had put it down, because of who was in the picture. Her used-to-Be best friends, Sophie and Tilly, were in the picture, smiling and laughing for the camera. Olivia remembered the days when they were best friends who told each other everything and saw each other nearly every day. She hoped that Sophie was not at CeCe’s party.

However, her intuition told her Sophie might be in attendance. And if so, she would definitely be dressed as Ariana. Olivia suppressed a giggle as she remembered Sophie’s everlasting adoration of Ariana Grande. It was adorable, hilarious, and embarrassing all at the same time. Olivia’s laugh faded as she remembered that the fight that split them up started over Ariana Grande. No matter. She had new friends now. And a better life. She picked up her briefcase and walked out the door.
