@JustMe (Marie) βοΈ It is Armistice Day in the U.K.. so honours those thousands lost in two world wars.. means more to me as I get older, though fortunately, I didβnt lose anyone close. But we owe so much to them allβ€οΈπ’β€οΈ

@π¬π§ Moominmomma π¬π§ In Flanders Fields the poppies blow. . . . Armistice Day - the world thought they had fought a war to end all wars. . . .how sadly mistaken they were. My hubs dad was in the Navy on board an airplane carrier during WW II. Came back and never said a word about it to either of his sons. Have a peaceful weekend. β£οΈM
@LeilaG π¨ Yes.. on Flanders Fields.. Did you see the flood of poppies placed round the Tower of London a year or so ago? Each poppy representing one of the fallen. I didβnt go but even on tv it was so gut wrenching .. so many.. βWhen the Power of Love overrules the Love of Power, the world will know Peaceβ. Ghandiβ¦ ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»β€οΈ

@JustMe (Marie) βοΈ Yes, my uncle was a rear gunner, one of the most vulnerable & dangerous positions in the plane & he never talked about it either. I believe strongly that we are only just becoming aware of the price we all paid for those dreadful atrocities, both physically & mentally. Our generation picked up a lot of the trauma & suffered emotionally.. a sort of PTSD.. This Pandemic will release much more than we think..
