Zahlia wasn’t happy, and didn’t enjoy speaking to us. She explained her job as a servant for the local inn, and other than that had a normal life.
Phantom seemed frustrated, but he contained it well.
Right now we’re all in the very inn that Zahlia works in. I’m in my room, preparing for the date I stupidly asked Tomb to.

4 years agoIt clips on, does NOT pierce my nose.
But when I was eight and my father began abusing me, I got really emo and the nose ring seemed to help.
Now don’t ask, I have absolutely no idea why.
Maybe just to show that I have control over my own body. That he couldn’t control everything.
Anyway, Morzan, Fable and Damari’s dad took me in as his own. There, he taught me how to fight and control my rage.
Which is why I can’t believe he’s evil. He saved me.

4 years ago The king of a giant kingdom called Flamier.
He used to beat me, and to this day I still have scars across my back and chest. They’re faint, thanks to Morzan’s healers.
And if I tilt my chin up you can see the scar where my father tried to slit my throat.
Most of the damage was internal, most believed I would die.
But Fable, the sweet beautiful princess, stayed by my side and flipped anyone off who upset me.
Now the only real damage from my father is mental, nothing anyone-

4 years ago But how normal is it for an adult male to wake up each night, screaming to be left alone, to not be twisted and destroyed? How normal is it for an adult male to cry himself to sleep and wake up at night, needing to light a candle just to remind himself he’s free?
Not normal at all.
Normal is overrated.
I run my fingers through my hair just as Fable enters the room.

As we walk to the restaurant I can’t help but worry. Ever since my father... I haven’t allowed any kind of physical contact outside of Damari and Fable.
What if I try to hug him or something, and I break his nose? What then?
Once we sit in the restaurant I order whatever Tomb’s having, then I return to my thoughts.
Zahlia has my eyes... I wonder what she’s hiding.
Or if she’s hiding anything.
And technically I have her eyes, not she has my eyes.

4 years ago I’m confusing myself. But my birth mother or magic mother or whatever lives in another realm. So Zahlia and I just happen to look a LOT alike.
But doesn’t it—

I do so, watching him.

We eat in silence and in my mind I’m hitting myself. Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.
We walk in silence as well, as we tour the small town. I keep my hands in my pockets, looking at the ground.
Tomb stops walking and I slam into him.

Giving me space to pull away.
