She crosses her arms over her chest and raises her auburn brows. “Liar.”
Phantom, Tomb, and Sky all chuckle, voices rising and falling as one. I smile as Damari shudders.
“So what are we to do?” Fable asks.
Phantom rises from the small table we all sit around. Well, I’m standing. The table is too small for all 6 feet and 8 inches of me.

4 years ago When I come to, we’re in grass.
“What the hell?” I hiss as I rise to my feet.
“We’re in my vision. Knocking you out is the easiest way to get you here.”
I glare into Phantom’s sea green eyes and look around. Endless grass for miles and miles.
“Where are we?” I ask.
Suddenly, a small boy appears in front of us.
I move to draw my sword, only to find it isn’t there.
“Okay,” the small boy says, messing with his white hair. “Sit. We’re having a lesson in life.”

4 years ago I glance at Phantom, who’s already sitting. So I sigh and do the same.
“Evil is taking over the world,” the boy says. “But I have some things to explain to you.”
He’s small. Short with icy blond hair, white skin and electric blue eyes. He’s wearing pink jeans and a blue shirt, blue shoes as well.
“Who are you?” I demand.
“Alex.”
“No last name?” Phantom asks softly.
“No. Just Alex, though Rayna calls me Derrick for... unknown reasons.”

“Finn Cullen and Phantom Nyghtmare. I know you,” He points to Phantom. “So much more than you think.”
This little boy can’t be over seven years of age.
“So,” he says. “We all know Zahlia is a form of Zaedia, and so on. Now, imagine nine strings, each with nine beads on them, each string is carefully intertwined with the others.”
“Okay,” Phantom and I both say.
“Each bead is a realm, and each string is ruled by a creator.”
We nod.

I’m having trouble trying to listen to a tiny boy say he created life.
The boy, Alex, sighs.
“There are nine creators, nine strings of realms, and nine Zaedia’s, Loki’s, Sene’s.”
We nod again.
“But if the evil woman Rayna can get to all nine, she will have more power than we ever thought possible.”

“Why can’t you just kill off all evil?” I demand.
The boy rolls his eyes. “I could. I wish I was allowed to.”
“You just said you control all of our realms and this string of realms,” I hiss, confused.
“But with nine different creators we needed a leader.”
“Okay?”
“And his rule is not to mess with the beings in our realms.”
“So? Break the rules,” Phantom says.

“Zaedia is trying to stop her evil sister from coming here. You have to find all the versions of her and her friends.”
“Okay,” I say. “How?”

I’m getting more and more frustrated. “So who all must we find?”
“Zaedia, Dreama, Loki and Sene all have different sides, as does everyone else in their realm.”
“What of Axel, the man who used magic to create me?” Phantom asks.
