OMGOODNESS ‼️. It’s tragic to see such changes! Since this water is dried up, what can the Coast Guard do now? Are there ANY reservoirs left locally for emergency drinking water or for the fires? (Sweet Ella does look tiny in that big empty space!)

2 years ago@Mary Bradshaw Mom, the politics really tick me off. During the tech boom they wanted to heighten the dam and buy out all the homes along the shore to hold more water. The even thought they might flood a whole area of State Park to handle the water needed. Well, they moved the remaining water to the underground water table. 2 years ago@Mary Bradshaw one on the dry side, they are going to dismantle the existing and start over. Kind of a bummer. But, if in the long run it will improve safety and water supply so be it. And, yes, there are a few other reservoirs in the area. They are super small compared to this one. The Coast Guard can bring ocean water over the Santa Cruz Mts. But, loss of time during fires. 🌹💕🌹

2 years ago@JewelsJ ...Aww! I don't understand just because she hasn't used it in 4 months why they need to close it. That makes no sense. I hope she can get all her pictures back. 😕 I hope you're having a good week. I had a dental check-up last week. I usually walk away with no cavities and everything looks good. This time he said I have one cavity on my lower left molar. It's where my tooth and a deep filling meet. He said because the filling is so deep, he will need to take out the filling, ....

2 years ago@JewelsJ ....(cont'd) clean out the cavity, refill it and add a crown to it. There is also a crack on the back of the tooth near my jaw line. So next week I'll pick up a Halcyon pill to take the day of my appointment, since I'll be in the chair an hour & a half. He's very good, so I'm not worried.

2 years ago@Heavenbound 🌸💕🌹 My dear sis. What it sounds like is there is a lesion (cavity) coming in where you would normally pass floss by. If that lesion meets with a filling and isn't treated, the decay (cavity) can spread underneath the filling. If it's already "deep," there's a chance of new decay is be removed the tooth may become sensitive after the work is done. If you start experiencing biting and cold sensitivity a few days later, it most commonly due to the temp crown being too tall.

2 years ago@Heavenbound 🌸💕🌹 Don't try and wait it out. Call and have them look at you're bite and adjust the temp. It's usually 2 weeks to get the crown back and the nerve could possibly get too sick. It's hard to adjust anyone's lower tooth when they are numb. But if you take something to help you through the procedure, it may make it even more difficult. No big deal. If you notice within a few days just call and have them check the bite. Be aware, if it's a large filling you've had for some time...

2 years ago@Heavenbound 🌸💕🌹 it may require root canal therapy. A root canal. That may not have been mentioned yet because it sounds like you rarely get treatment done (fantastic). If it comes up, and you have questions, I'm here for you. If you need one, no big deal. It's what we do to keep the tooth. I refer my patients to a specialist. That's what they do. The do it well. 🌹💕🌹

2 years ago@JewelsJ ....thanks SO much for the great information! I think you're right about the location. My dentist has this blue paper I have to chew down on and move the teeth back and forth. Then he can see the high/low spots to make adjustments on the height of the temp crown. That's what he did last time. I hope I won't need a root canal, but I'm already in the chair, so just praying it's only a crown. I hope you, Amy and Ella had a great weekend! I tried my hand at making Southern Creamed Corn! 💕🌸🌹

2 years ago@Heavenbound 🌸💕🌹 How did everything go? Are you comfortable? Tell me about this Southern Creamed Corn. I'm starving right now. It's just after 6 am. I am just lying down in bed. I'm supposed to take my mom to a meeting with our new CPA. But, he never got back to me about a time. So, now I'm sleep deprived because of the stress. He'll probably want us there at 9 or 10 am. That may only give me 2 hours of sleep.
