2 years ago-ok so im not the best at giving tips but I would say the most important tip would be to look at a reference pic. It helps u understand the anatomy of the face and where highlights/ shadows should go based on the lighting
-speaking of, make sure u know ur lighting. If the lighting is soft, dont make the highlights too bright, and if its bright (like this picture) u can make them brighter. The angle of the lighting is also v important bc it

2 years agocompletely changes where the face is brightest and darkest (thats where the reference is helpful)
-details r importantβ if ur doing a closeup of a face, make sure u draw in eyebrow hairs, the lines in the iris, or anything like that. Its also good to pay attention to texture like in clothing
-the background can make the whole template. Adding a creative background (even if its pretty simple like this one) can make the whole thing look a lot more interesting

2 years ago-so when im contouring, i take a darker shade and shade around the desired areas, and take a lighter shade (sometimes a white or light yellow/beige) and shade in the highlighted areas. When i finish doing that, i take the mid-tone skin color and blend it out. When im done blending, i go back and some more highlights on the nose and cheeckbone
-the blush is fun to do in my opinion βΊοΈ for this blush color, i mixed together her skintone and a hot pink to get the color i want. That way

2 years agoit isnt too bright. I put the blush right in between the highlights and contour on the cheekbone. I also put some on the nose and anywhere else i want it. Then Iβll add a lil more highlights for any that I covered up

2 years agoAnd yes! Ive seen a few ppl do this idea for the background, so its no problem at all. All i did was kind of outline her with hot pink, and then go in with a whiteπππ
