@🌳Brenavere🌳 So glad to hear from you. What’s new in your world? Staying safe I hope?

I’ve been sheltering at home since Feb 24th, starting early as I knew this sh*t was gonna happen and overall Americans are not that bright anymore. I’d be more interested in hearing that YOU are safe, after all you work in an environment which can be a real threat! We’ve had some issues here, though, hubs went from walking to a wheelchair in 2 weeks. A wrong diagnosis almost had him in spine surgery, year and 3 month recovery. Long story, but the reality is he is, instead, having

...a total hip replacement in February. Our 19 yr old nephew just had a 5 hour heart ablation for a near fatal v-tach episode (heart rate over 300 bpm) He was airlifted to a hospital near Waco and some major electrophysiologist traveled in to do his surgery...story is longer than that but I’ll stop there, lol. We’ve had a couple of Trump supporting non mask wearing relatives here on our ranch come down with Covid but the other 13 of us here have remained free of it, to our knowledge...

@🌳Brenavere🌳 I’m so sorry to hear about your hubby. I hope he’s doing better and will kick rehabs ass after surgery. My ex had to go thru same thing as your nephew. It was a mess , got septic after the surgery. If I hadn’t been diligent, who knows. He’s fine now

Son is in between apartments so finishing his college semester here...and probably next one as well. Sister in law had two breast surgeries, all happening while her son was battling his heart issue, crazy time for THEM for sure. So it’s been a weird few months in a super weird year, lol, but hanging in there, doing good and barely on RC for the last few months as I have had to take over every duty in our home due to Kent’s becoming suddenly non ambulatory. Tell me how things are with you?

@🌳Brenavere🌳 There are a lot of non mask wearers here. Hurting the rest of us. We started isolation in March. The COVID camping is rough! Lol. I don’t remember last time we talked, but I’m with someone new, it will be 2 years in January. Such a big change.

I agree, Covid camping (lol) is the biggest drag. I’m lucky to live on the ranch though, 500 acres, so I can get out, walk, ride a bike, walk me dog, all safely. I DO remember you had someone new in your life and I am thrilled to hear that there’s a 2 year anniversary happening there!! Clearly, the change must be superb!! Lol. Very very happy for ya, Ginger-gurl!!!!! That is fantastic!

About your ex and his surgery, am glad he’s ok... Easton’s dr said initially he had a 75% chance of actually fully repairing E’s heart and after surgery, he changed that to 95%. This issue started one year after a horrific ATV accident when he slammed into the back of a stopped dune buggy his dad was driving and E had that ATV open full throttle. When his dad stopped, the dust was so thick on the road E did not see the dune buggy, he went over the roll bar, compound fracturing his femur....

@🌳Brenavere🌳 Yes, the change is fantastic, not without its complications, but everyone’s going thru that. Not so bad being locked in a 500 sq ft apt with someone you love spending time with. I’m very lucky. Both his parents have passed in last year, my mom recently diagnosed with Dementia. There’s a travel ban so I can’t go to Pennsylvania to visits her during the holidays.

...landing in front of the dune buggy on the dirt road, with a broken arm as well. He was smartly wearing a helmet. This kid is a walking accident ANYWAY. One year later, when he was in middle school, this v tach thing began..he’s been on meds, had one ablation already with w cardiac arrests during that surgery. We were pretty concerned, because at age 19 he would not agree to the surgery...once he realized the alternative was eventual death, perhaps even on the next episode, he relented...

@🌳Brenavere🌳 wow. That poor kids been thru it. He’s in my opinion here for a reason, if he went thru all that. My ex hasn’t had any problems since his discharge. About ten years ago. Btw, can I camp on your land,I need outta hear! Lol. You’ll never know I’m there. Lol

He even gets to go off his meds in a couple of months. His surgery was on Election Day, lol, a very TENSE day anyhoo...on top of his heart surgery, I had a friend die in Lubbock, our aunt died in Ohio, our donkey of 25 years died, I found out my niece had COVID, and we still thought spine surgery was happening. It was an awful day to be honest, lol. Came through it like champs though! Life is weird, what else can one say? Lol

Ya know, lol, I’d change places with ya til the pandemic is over! I’d love to be cooped up with someone I’m deeply in love with in a 500 sq ft apt! Instead, I am miserable on 500 acres in a 3,000 sq ft house. I’m soooo sorry to hear about your mom, and damn this pandemic keeping families apart; it sickens me and even more that we could have been past this for the most part already. Thanks Cheeto! (And you know who I’m talkin about!) Tragic your BF’s parents BOTH passed, that is so brutal....
