Hi, p. Rules changed at the hospital yest afternoon. hispital is full, no beds. i stayed in ER with him, he is not stable enough yet for surgery, blood chem still way off. I cant see him, not even spouses can go in. Surgery isnt happening today. He has a serious underlying problem, p, one that I have been unable to divilge publicly which is complicating this to a huge degree. I would fill you in if there were a way for privacy here. I wore my mask like it was my skin and still as I was standing

3 years ago....near an emergency exit a security guard tapped me on the shoulder to move. why? a covid patient was being wheeled right past me. this person had been in the hospital for days, she wasnt being admitted yet it happened. They then closed ER to all people except patients. Anyway, we are in limbo here and K called at 3 a.m. have no idea why but i was dead and never heard my phone. waiting ti learn why he called. The minutes are dragging by. Hate Covid so much and humans for being so defiant.

3 years ago @🌳Brenavere🌳 Oh Bren your ER is a worse nightmare than I can imagine! I feel so sick that you & Kent are going through this. I hate ERs during normal times. I’ve spent hours there waiting for results with father-in-law. It must be unbearable now! Now K must face this alone. Look at what the stupid ignorant smirking maskless have caused. I get so angry. I am glad they allow K to use his phone. Can you guys text? Is K waiting to be admitted? Can his doctor call you since you can’t go in? Love😘🤗♥️♥️

3 years agoUpdate for you, sweet-p! K was moved to a private room yesterday morn, (it’s like the HIlton in there!) HIs surgeon popped in yest briefly to say we’re doin this as scheduled. I’m about to shower, git gone, grab a breakfast taco from my fave place next to the hospital and get this over. His surgeon said the x ray shows that when he rolled over in the night, the temporal head of the femur disintegrated and literally crumbled in one fell swoop! He’s never seen that in all his years of practice.

3 years agoI think he’s feeling a bit guilty for not getting this done earlier...he knew the rapid progression in Kent was extreme. Anyway, today is the day, glory be to God for that!. I’ll update later, thanks for your very kind words and support ! I love ya to pieces!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

You are blessed & I bet your surgeon has some clout in that hospital- excellent! Wow Kent’s bone disintegrated- did he have osteoporosis? It was definitely severe. You’ve got to feel so relieved. 3 years agoHi, sweet-p. Update here. I brought my iPad, think I’ll color a picture while I wait. Surgery time is extended as he has some pelvic damage too but all is going very well at the moment. I met the doctor and really loved my first impression of him. Staff at the hospital are so kind and accommodating.......and funny! This is not the experience I was expecting thus far. Hopefully, K will be back in his room around 3 or 3:30. I am getting calls from one of the O R nurses to keep me informed.

3 years agoHi. :) Yes, I am the only visitor allowed. His surgery went one hour over. The ball was so eaten up with arthritis that the surgeon could find no evidence it had even existed, it just disappeared and hence the femur bone or what was left of it up there began to move into his pelvic bone..over an inch into his pelvic bone! He had to rebuild that. He’s never seen such a thing in his career. The anesthesia has not set well with Kent..he’s crazy..he removed all his equipment in 5 minutes while

3 years ago..the nurse was out of the room and when she walked back in he was about to remove his catheter!!!! I had warned him he was not right after returning to his room...but he works fast and furious at almost everything he does. It has been an overall good day but distressing at times since the surgery was over. He won’t be coming home; several days in hospital and about a month in a rehab hospital. So...home next year sometime. Thanks for your support, sweet_p ❤️

3 years ago@🌳Brenavere🌳 Wow! What an experience you both have had! One to tell for years to come. I can’t imagine the pain he was in with so much of his femur gone. Definitely K has a high tolerance to pain. By now I suspect he’s down from that anesthesia high. I bet that was scary. Now he’s on that slow but steady road to recovery. He calls me from the hospital at 4 a.m. but not from his phone, from his room so it was the hospital number which showed up and I couldn't answer it in time. my heart was pounding for a while til we discovered he had just lost his charging cord and had to use the room phone. He was consufed about what day and time it was so he was wondering whether or not I was coming there today..he needs to charge his phone. He has it, he was charging his phone yest. *so tired* lol
