What a fabulous Golden Pheasant, Katrina. Beautiful coloring! The Golden Pheasant, (aka Chinese Pheasant) is native to the mountainous forests of Western and Central China. They are timid birds, hide in dark, dense forests and woodlands during the day and roost in high trees during the night. They often forage on the ground.
