1 year agoWe havenβt done Thanksgiving in awhile. The kids were at his moms. We would go to a diner. So now I had to go buy a turkey. 40$. I was in shock. Jim is going to help my hubby do the turkey since I hate meatπ. I was going to try to do corn pudding but the recipe has a whole stick of unhealthy butter. Havenβt found a less fattening one that looks good.I did remember to put the turkey in the fridge ππ

1 year agoGorgeous Pic, love brown against the bold red. Your molasses cookies (& esp the dip) sounds really good. Uncle is lucky, I'm sure he has to love this time of year just for all the cooking you do. My Grandma was a great cook & she called me her shadow & some of my best memories are of helping her cook. I never did get to where I could make her homemade biscuits like she did, but I got the collard greens & cornbread right.

1 year agoFlorida State Seminoles. It's the big one around here. It gave me an excuse to color that template and I did it for nostalgia's sake as well. My dad was a Fl State fan. I used to call him every year on Veterans day and after the big game. He died from a cancer he got in Vietnam and I miss him alot, especially this time of year.
