@sissy My husband has been ill today, so we are watching the fireworks on TV compliments of Macy’s! Happy 4th, my friend!😊❤️❤️❤️ Tomorrow night, our church is having fireworks, if we’re able to go!😊❤️

I hate that your husband does not feel well. Tell him I wish him a speedy recovery. I lived much of my life in a Maryland suburb of DC and we often went to the mall to see the fireworks. Nysakasam, it was usually so hot we always plunked ourselves down right next to an ice cream cart. I always let my daughters get as many ice cream treats as they wanted. They always loved the ice cream part of fire works!

@sissy Your ice cream cart reminds me of our ice cream truck. I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for a couple of years in the early 50’s. An ice cream truck came several times a week to our neighborhood, with it’s sweet melodious little tune ringing in the breeze. We always rushed to get our coins from Mama when we heard that sweet sound. Those are precious memories! Thanks for the jog!😊❤️
