I know I would never forget. I know where I was at the time it happened. Question, do you know where you were when it happened? My hubby & I were on are way back from Cape May, NJ. My hubby got a call from his brother, a plane hit the towers. In total disbelief. Got home & we saw the second tower fall. We could see all of smoke, it was heartbreaking ๐Ÿ’”

Never forget. I loved those buildings. I always took people there to see them. There was an amazing restaurant on the top floor of building 2. The view up there was breathtaking. Everyone knew each other from the office workers to the sales people in the concourse where all the stores and restaurants were. It was like a family. Wonderful picture beautifully colored. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

I was at work here in New Jersey. Everyone was told to leave work. The first thing I did was drive to my young daughterโ€™s school. I didnโ€™t see her because the school was on lockdown but was assured all the kids were okay and were being sent home. Next I drove to my older daughterโ€™s job to give her a hug. She was sent home also. I also had family members and friends who were trying to get out of the city. Many had to walk to the ferry and across the bridges. A dark day. ๐Ÿ–ค

I watched those buildings being build and I worked on the 86 floor of tower 1 years before. It was a scary building on a normal day. No inside windows in the hallways. Only lighting which was completely out when that happened. I canโ€™t imagine trying to walk down those steps in the dark trying to get to safety. The only windows were inside the office suites. The building always creaked and swayed while sitting at your desk working. It had an amazing breathtaking view. ๏ฟผ๐Ÿ’”

@A n g e l a , it was such a unbelievably thought that it even happened. I canโ€™t watch the anniversaryโ€™s of the buildingโ€™s crashing to the ground. It absolutely makes my heart ache. I will never forget that day. Iโ€™m still in disbelief that itโ€™s been 20 years now ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ’”๐ŸŒบ

@1020reno aka Diane ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ I had my husband drive me into the city much later on but all I could see was two giant holes in the ground. I put my face in my hands and cried all the way back home to New Jersey. It broke my heart because I knew I would never see those beautiful buildings again. And all the wonderful people who worked there were gone. No, I will never forget. ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’”

@A n g e l a I absolutely never wanted to see the holes in the ground. We had friends from England & they wanted to see it. Thankfully it was all surrounded with tarp, they got out, I stayed in the car crying all the way home. I never went back until 8 years ago, when the memorial pools were complete. I still have not gone to the museum under the ground. Donโ€™t know if I ever could. Iโ€™m still so heartbroken ๐Ÿ’”โค๏ธ

I was at home, glued to the tv yet not wanting to believe what I was seeing. Shanksville PA, where the flight 93 went down (thanks to heroic passengers) is about 2 hours from me, it is one of the most emotional places I've ever been. It's so still, solemn, quiet...it demands respect. I will never forget. โค๏ธ

Thank you for this touching reminder Diane๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ How terrible for you to be living in NYC at the time- Iโ€™m so sorry you had to go through that. I had been living in NYC for 4 years and worked on Wall street- had just moved back to San Diego that April. All I could think was wondering if the farmers market was there in front of the WTC- and if the vendors were OK. I used to go there on my lunch break๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
