"Yuletide Traditions"
There were Fir boughs and Holly, mulling spices for cider, plain paper for gifts and if you got an orange, that was special!!!
Yuletide Merriment was for celebrating the end of darkness, and return to the light (longer days). The yearly battle between the Holly King, who won on Summer Solstice, making shorter days and in Winter, the Oak King takes back the victory, making the days longer.
Stay tuned for more Yule tidbits.
