On this day in 1967 interracial marriage became legal! 2 years after I was born. In July of 1989 I married the love of my life and we've been married ever since! Imagine being told whom you were able to love and marry. You realize that some of the same statements were used to fight interracial marriage as are the statements against same-sex marriage! Let that sink in

1 year agoIt appears that We (society) have come a long way - personally I think we are still stuck in the muck and mire. They may say itโs โacceptableโ both racial and sexual orientation freedoms but that is just not true. We all know in our core that the freedoms we have fought so hard for can be taken away with the power of a ball point pen. The older I get the more I see the truth ๐
