2 years ago@Sandra O_o It was really a chance of fate. My father and I drove up to SF to check out UCSF and UOP dental schools. Dang. It was so long ago. I graduated in the class of '95. I applied to schools all across the Country. UCSF was ranked number 2 when I went through. I thought I had no chance. But, it was the perfect school. Academically. Clinically. And, close to home. 80km from my folks house. I came home almost every weekend all 4 years. Not only was it ranked #2, it was the least expensive...

2 years ago@Sandra O_o of any of the 40 Dental Schools in the US. I paid off my loans in 3 years. At which time, I bought my house, had two more years to pay off the practice I bought. It has been a charmed life. Now Covid has stripped me of everything except my home and retirement. I owe my Landloard $85,000. I owe a PPP loan of $75,500 because I was not open so no staff to pay. It's not forgiven. So, I will work the rest of my career paying off the debt I incurred because I followed the rules.

2 years ago@Sandra O_o But, that's my soapbox. The school was fantastic. All the hardship and stress are long forgotten. My classmates and roommates are what I remember. The best years. Excluding Amy and Ella. I believe it is the #1 hospital in CA. Over Stanford and UCLA. πΉππΉ
