"Yule Tree" The Pagan origins of the Christmas Tree: The tree was brought into the home so the wood spirits would be kept warm during winter months. Food and treats were placed on branches for the spirits to eat. Bells were hung to chime when an appreciative spirit was present and a 5 point pentacle (Pentagram) was placed on top to represent the 5 elements: Water, Air, Fire, Earth and Spirit. @The Real Fish 🇺🇸 🇮🇹 Christmas is actually Yule. All traditions are Pagan in origin. However, when the Christains took over the Yule holiday, they brought in the Nativity. It is the only Christian part of Christmas. However, historically speaking, Christ's birth was actually in February or March. Yule is birth of the "Sun King," Christmas was made into the birth of the "Son King." Yule occurs Dec. 20, 21 and 22. The Solstice ends with the birth of the Sun King ... longer days.
