I just saw your response . You posted this an hour ago. It was then 4.30 pm for me! Is it morning for you now? I talk regularly with my friend Dee Van. We even do FaceTime. She lives around New York too. We know that she comes +/- 6 hours behind me. Is it the same for you? I’m not good in geography, have no idea where your state is… 😜 I’m still learning my English on here! Was so nervous the first time I talked with Dee. But she understands me, so I am more confident to talk/write to someone. ⬇️

Yes, I live by the sea. The North Sea is 1 kilometer from our house. It’s less than 1 mile, I think 🤔 But there were years that I couldn’t go for a walk. I spent 16 years in a wheelchair to go outside, and laying down the whole day and night. The last 2 years I can walk again! Sometimes just in the garden, sometimes a long walk at the beach or in the woods. I love walking, but I am always more confident when I have someone with me. It is still possible that I can’t put 1 foot behind the other⬇️

… at a certain moment 🙁. I totally understand you when you say that it’s difficult to live with a disability when you’re young. My Spondylitis Ankylosis ( joints becoming stiff and calcified) began when I was 33! I had to stay 1 year and a half at home from work, with 2 little children and a husband who worked more than 12 hours a day. Afterwards I could take my job again, but very limited hours and with heavy medication. For 10 years. Then everything was over for me, when the Fibro entered my⬇️

I lost a lot of friends over the years, and everyone always said “ you look so good, how come that you’re ill?” You’re so right, nobody understands till they experience it themselves 🥺 Here on RC you don’t have to explain. Most of us do understand it. This is my safe place, where I put my brain out by coloring. And where I talk now and then. I talked a lot to you the last days… sorry if I bothered you. You really can tell me 🤗 Hope your day is better today ❣️❣️❣️

@clavietje 🇧🇪 ✌🏽🌷🌷🪴 you are so sweet, you are not bothering me at all. I am generally on my devices especially in the morning doing different things. I still take some freelance work, but I am not supposed too but I can’t pay my medical bills without additional income since my disability pay is not enough. I can’t believe everything you have been through, that’s amazing that you are able to walk after all that time. I haven’t been on a walker in awhile since I have been on new MS meds ⬇️

@clavietje 🇧🇪 ✌🏽🌷🌷🪴 have become available. I can’t believe you went through all of that with 2 kids and a husband that worked so far away. That’s really amazing! I was diagnosed in my early 20s, which is rare for MS. Most it doesn’t start happening until their 40s so it was weird to navigate. I understand, people always tell me I don’t look like I am sick, which I guess they think is a compliment but always makes me feel like should I look more sick for you?⬇️

@clavietje 🇧🇪 ✌🏽🌷🌷🪴 I am so glad that you have found a safe place on RC! It’s important to find an outlet. Your English is excellent, I would have never guessed you were learning it. I can only speak a little of Spanish and Italian. I keep saying I am going to start on of the apps to help you learn languages. For me I now live in Texas, which is 1 hour behind East Coast (Dee’s time in New York). Unfortunately I am still dealing with the stomach flu so I have been up all night.
