@Debbie Wells : I played jacks at school with my friends. We didn’t have many toys at home growing up - we were outdoor kids mostly and my parents worked hard and “toy treats” were earned and sparingly given. I was a book kid when I was indoors - happily losing myself in fictional worlds. My mother approved of reading. 😊💕💕

I imagine growing up you thought your parents were tough but what great lessons! I’m trying to do something similar with my daughter & not just hand her stuff like her friends parents do. I’m probably not as tough as your parents may have been but Finally now as a teenager she gets it and appreciates it and understands that a lot of her friends are spoiled brats. Ahhh reading 😁. I used to be an avid reader too until Recolor came along which consumes a lot of our free time. Have a good one😘
