Mimosa pudica (aka sensitive plant, sleepy plant, action plant,touch-me-not, shameplant) is a creeping flowering plant of the pea/legume family. The compound leaves fold inward and droop when touched or shaken, defending themselves from harm, and re-open a few minutes later (Wikipedia). My siblings and I had great fun touching its leaves and watching it fold up.
