After I closed my business, I went to work as an advocate for nonprofits such as The Salvation Army. Among other things they work to help young girls get free of child sex trafficking. Most countries prohibit sex with under-16s or under-18s, but in some places the age of consent is as low as 11. France has just lowered the age of consent to 15 and other countries may follow, leaving girls further exposed! I weep for these young’s girls whose lives can so easily be wrecked by predators.

3 years agoTragically beautiful. It amazes me that still, in 2020, we treat women and girls as objects. And many turn the other way ignoring certain people in power who have been friends with sex traffickers, accused of assault yet still praised by certain religious groups. We will never change if we ignore the truth and only focus on the physically "sleazy" molesters.

3 years ago@TracyNWOregon🌲 yes the problem runs deep and we have no idea how far! ( clearly it’s even to the royal family in my own home country) Fortunately The Salvation Army which is part of the evangelical churches, is one religious organization that is taking action to help the victims. Often the work is dangerous.

3 years agoNot shocking at all considering that female circumcsision is still being preformed in the dark corners of the world. Women will always be slaves because they do not stand together.
