Here is the very first portrait that I ever drew when I was 11 yrs old. Original piece was done w/ pencil ✏️ I did this by looking at picture in the Smithsonian magazine & sketched it onto watercolor paper. Before this I had never tried to do any portrait drawing of any kind. I remember my amazment when it turned out to be a close likeness to the photo. Goes to show how someone w/ a desire & no art experience can achieve what they want.

3 years agoBeautifully done sweetie!! That’s pretty much the only way I can draw is to look at a pic! In art class we did a mural we each had a square and you would be amazed how beautiful the pic turned out! That’s how hey teach you to draw! At least in 77 when I was a senior lol
